LONDON (ShareCast) - Europe's main markets are on the rise in early dealings Wednesday following two days of sharp losses.
Tech stocks are in demand after US database giant Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL
- news) reported earnings above expectations after the market closed. SAP (Xetra: 716460 - news) and Infineon (Xetra: 623100 - news) are posting gains.
Across the markets, the German DAX is up 18 points at 4,725 with the French CAC rising 10 points to 3,126. The Swiss market has gained 10 points to 5,331.
Air France (Paris: FR0000031122 - news) -KLM gained after Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS - news) upped its stance on the airline to 'overweight' from 'equal-weight'.
Banks are also going well, with UniCredit (Milan: UCG.MI - news) and Deutsche Bank (Xetra: 514000 - news) both in demand.
