Clarity Commerce turns into profits

LONDON (ShareCast) - Bookings system software provider Clarity Commerce Solutions (LSE: CCS.L - news) saw full year profits come in ahead
of expectations due to a number of contract wins across all territories.

Pre-tax profit rose to £465,000 against losses of £8.5m before on revenue that increased 15.1% to £17.7m.

"This has been an exceptional year for Clarity and its staff who, together, have produced an excellent performance with profits ahead of market expectations despite a difficult trading environment," said the group.

Throughout the year, Clarity secured significant contract wins across all of its activities and across the UK, Europe and the USA.

"Despite the current economic climate our customers are continuing to invest in our products and services and, whilst we have seen some delays and increases in the length of sales cycles, we remain cautiously optimistic about the future," said the group.

No dividend has been recommended.
