LONDON (ShareCast) - There are gains for LED technology specialist Dialight (LSE: DIA.L - news) after it received commitments from a
major US telecommunications tower operator to adopt its white obstruction tower lighting.
The deal is valued at about $12m over the next 24 months, with initial shipments to start in the second half of 2009.
"We anticipate a strong pipeline of further orders as other tower operators recognize the substantial benefits that LED lighting offers," said boss Roy Burton.
In vitro diagnostics firm Axis (Stockholm: AXIS.ST - news) -Shield expects revenues to show growth close to 20% in the first six months of the year, with continuing strong sales across all three divisions.
Growth has been positively affected by exchange rates, including the strength of the US dollar during the first half of the year, but the revenue increase excludes any consideration for the sale of Plasmatec in May.
"Our focus on increasing the market penetration of our proprietary products, including our Afinion Point-of-Care System, which continues to be demonstrably superior to the competition, has continued to yield positive results, with the Afinion global installed base now in excess of 5000 systems, in line with board projections," said the group.
