DIRECTOR DECLARATION
Further to an announcement made on 28 April 2008, relating to the
appointment of
Stephen Williams as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Whitbread PLC with
effect from 27 April 2008, this notice contains certain information required to
be disclosed in accordance with section LR9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
In accordance with section LR9.6.13 paragraph (1) of the Listing Rules, Stephen
Williams has been a director of the following publicly quoted companies during
the previous 5 years:
Bunzl PLC (until 31 August 2004); and
Arriva PLC (to date)
In accordance with section LR9.6.13 paragraph (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules,
there is no information relating to Stephen Williams required to be disclosed.
Section LR9.6.13 paragraph (2) to (6) relates to:

details of any unspent convictions in relation to indictable offences;
LR9.6.13 (3)
details of any receiverships, compulsory liquidations, creditors voluntary

the 12 months preceding, such events;

of, or within the 12 months preceding, such events;
LR9.6.13 (5)
details of receiverships of any asset of such person or of a partnership of
which the director was a partner at the time of or within the 12 months
preceding such event; and
LR9.6.13 (6)
details of any public criticisms of the director by statutory or regulatory
authorities (including designated professional bodies) and whether the director
has ever been disqualified by a court from acting as a director of a company or
from acting in the management or conduct of the affairs of any company.
