Bronco Drilling 1Q EPS 31 cents; revenue falls to $62.3 million
NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Bronco Drilling Co. Friday said first-quarter net income was $8.1 million, or 31 cents a share, above the mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters (TRI.TO - news) of 27 cents a share.
Revenue for the Oklahoma City-based oil company fell to $62.3 million. Three analysts polled were looking for $63.6 million, on average.
In the year-ago period, the company posted net income of $11.4 million, or 44 cents a share, on revenue of $78.9 million.
Shares of Bronco Drilling closed Thursday at $17.25. The stock is up about 19% since the start of the year.
