Press chat boosts African Consolidated Resources

LONDON (ShareCast) - Zimbabwe focused mineral explorer African Consolidated Resources (LSE: AFCR.L - news) attributed a sharp rise
in the share price on press speculation regarding possible political developments in the country.

But it said drilling continues at its Blue Rock gold prospect to define a new zone of gold mineralization.

ACR has just received the first assay results and will make a further announcement by the end of next week as soon as the results have been analysed.

Meanwhile, a drilling program at its Perseverance nickel project is expected to begin next week after work there re-started late last month.
