LONDON (ShareCast) - Among the big companies issuing results are financial information giant Thomson Reuters (TRI.TO - news) and nuclear
power station operator British Energy (LSE: BGY.L - news) .Thomson Reuters reported higher revenues in its first quarter results. Investors will be watching closely to see if this momentum has been maintained over the second quarter. British Energy said last month that power output over the first quarter was down from the same period a year ago. The effects on the company's finances will be revealed in first quarter results Wednesday. This month's decision on interest rates surprised no one, with nearly all analysts correctly predicting rates would be held, but next week's inflation report could be much more interesting.
