LONDON (ShareCast) - International Personal Finance (LSE: IPF.L - news) 's results were flattered by foreign exchange benefits in
the half but the lender is growing and is secure.

But at 300p, it now looks a little racy on close to 16 times this year's forecast earnings and a 1.8% yield. A good business, but with little to catapult the stock higher in the short term, now seems a good time to take some profits says the Telegraph Spectris (LSE: SXS.L - news) holds niche positions providing precision measurement, controls and testing equipment to a wide range of industries. It reports that, at present, all the trends appear positive, suggesting that there is scope for upgrades ahead of next month's interim results. With most brokers holding price targets of around 800p, the shares look good value. Buy says the Telegraph.

With more customers opting for flat-rate broadband and call packages, BT (LSE: BT-A.L - news) is not seriously affected by a fall in the number of calls made. Furthermore, Ofcom is likely to allow BT to raise the prices that it charges other telecoms groups to use its networks. BT's shares have fallen 36 per cent in the past 12 months, closing yesterday up 4¼p at 202¼p. With the more bullish analysts setting target prices as high as 300p with an upside of 49 per cent, this could be a good time to buy say the Times (1832.HK - news) .

Anglo American (LSE: AAL.L - news) continues to see diamonds as a core business and will keep backing De Beers for the foreseeable future. De Beers is expecting its production volumes to pick up as new mines in Canada come on stream, and in spite of the gloom surrounding the impact of a US slowdown on jewellery demand, the group is optimistic about long-term diamond prices, say the FT.
