Madrid shares TFN market data at 10:07 a.m. - Telecinco down; Tubacex up

MADRID (Thomson Financial) - Market data at 10:07 a.m.

IBEX-35 index 13,958.1, down 68.7 points

Major losers:

-Telecinco (Madrid: TL5.MC - news) , down 0.20 euros at 12.03, with forecast-beating first quarter results overshadowed by ongoing concerns over the weak advertising outlook.

-Main banks, with Santander (Madrid: SAN.MC - news) down 0.16 at 13.95 and BBVA (Madrid: BBVA.MC - news) down 0.16 at 14.91, ahead of the ECB's rate decision.

-Selected domestically-focused banks, with Bankinter down 0.12 at 9.91, Sabadell off 0.06 at 6.57 and Popular shedding 0.12 to 11.22.

-Ferrovial, down 0.60 at 56.15, after the Financial Times' Lex column questioned whether the increasingly likely break-up of BAA's airport ownership would actually free-up cash for the debt-ridden group or boost competition.

-Sol Melia (Madrid: SOL.MC - news) , down 0.22 or 2.27 percent at 9.47, after reporting an 11 percent drop in net profit in the first quarter from a year earlier, depressed by the depreciation of the dollar and pound.

Major gainers:

-Tubacex (Madrid: TUB.MC - news) , up 0.13 at 7.36, after solid first quarter results and upbeat 2008 guidance.

-Abengoa (Madrid: ABG.MC - news) , up 0.30 at 21.04.

Other stocks in the news:

-Cintra (Madrid: CIN.MC - news) , down 0.06 at 10.33, after reporting solid first quarter results and underpinned by comments flagging the group's consortium bid for the Pennsylvania Turnpike to be lodged tomorrow.

-Sogecable (Madrid: SGC.MC - news) , flat at 27.97 after Bolsacinco said Telefonica (Madrid: TEF.MC - news) has received offers for its 16.7 percent stake in the broadcaster above Prisa (Madrid: PRS.MC - news) 's buyout offer of 28 euros per share.

-Telefonica, down 0.08 at 18.92. Earlier, Negocio's rumour column tipped forecast-beating first quarter numbers due next week.

-Iberdrola (Madrid: IBE.MC - news) , off 0.03 at 9.32. Earlier, La Razon flagged the utility sounding out Centrica (LSE: CNA.L - news) to present a joint bid for British Energy (LSE: BGY.L - news) .
