LONDON (ShareCast) - Engineer Renishaw (LSE: RSW.L - news) expects pre-tax profit in the year to 30 June to exceed its previous high
of £38.1m, achieved in 2006, partly aided by the positive impact of currency exchange rate movements.

The group said its performance continues to remain strong with turnover ahead of the levels in the first half of the year, despite competitive markets.

Renishaw has resumed deliveries to a major Japanese customer and interest in the REVO remains strong, the group added.
