Pop Milano says Anima stake now above two-thirds
MILAN, Jan 8 (Reuters) - Italy's Banca Popolare di Milano (Milan: PMI.MI - news) now owns more than two-thirds of Anima SGR (Milan: ANM.MI - news) , the limit at which the cooperative bank's buy-out offer for the asset manager was conditional.
Pop Milano, which owned 29.9 percent of Anima before the offer, said in a statement on Thursday 41.7 percent of Anima shares had been tendered to its offer as of Wednesday.
Pop Milano is offering 1.45 euros for each Anima share, valuing the asset manager at about 107 million euros ($145 million).
On Thursday, Anima shares ended at 1.447 euros in Milan.
It has said it would delist Anima upon completing the acquisition and merge it with its Bipiemme Gestioni unit as part of a reorganisation of its asset management activities.
The offer ends on Jan. 23.
