Italian Stocks - Factors to watch on April 7
MILAN, April 7 (Reuters) - The following factors could
affect Italian markets on Tuesday.

FINMECCANICA
The defense and aerospace group said on Monday it will
suffer no financial impact from a possible cancellation of the
VH-71 U.S. presidential helicopter programme.
FIAT
Car and truck production in Brazil, an important market for
Fiat, may contract in 2009 for the first time in seven years as
manufacturers brace for weaker demand at home and abroad because
of the global economic crisis, the national automakers'
association Anfavea said on Monday.
Talks between the Canadian Auto Workers union and Chrysler
to strike a cost savings deal at the automaker's operations in
Canada are at a standstill, likely because Chrysler is focusing
on reaching a partnership deal with Fiat, the union said on
Monday.
UBS removes Fiat from its European automobiles most
preferred list.
RBS cuts Fiat to 'hold' from 'buy'.
IMPREGILO
The construction company's first-quarter results are in line
with its target, the group's chief financial officer said on
Monday in New York on the sidelines of a presentation to
investors organised by Italy's stock exchange.
ENI (Milan: ENI.MI - news) , GAZPROM, GAZPROM NEFT
Eni is expected to sign on Tuesday a deal with Russia's
Gazprom for the sale of the Italian energy group's minority
stake in Gazprom Neft.
* BANCA POPOLARE DI MILANO
The cooperative bank's chairman, Roberto Mazzotta, should
present a list of candidates for the new board of directors, two
sources close to the matter told Reuters, confirming news
reports on Tuesday.
His list could be supported by BPM 360 Degrees, a
shareholder group financed by the Amber, a U.S. fund.
BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA
The bank is looking at a spin-off of 2.2 billion euros worth
of real estate in an operation being studied by Mediobanca , Corriere della Sera said; the bank is also studying
options for its Sansedoni real estate affiliate.
SMALL AND MID-CAP COMPANIES
IT HOLDING
Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli has agreed to renew
a licence for IT Holding to make and distribute clothes for his
Just Cavalli brand.

The unit of Swisscom (Virt-X: 874251.VX - news) holds its annual shareholders
meeting.
