This fund, managed by Neil Woodford, is actually one of our favourite UK Equity Income funds. It is also one of the best performing. It is, however, very similar to the Invesco Perpetual Income Fund, which Neil Woodford also manages in the same manner. The underlying portfolios of both funds are very similar. This is why when we created the Wealth 150 we chose to include only one of the two funds. We chose the Invesco Perpetual Income Fund.
To reassure investors of our position regarding the High Income Fund and to clear any confusion we have decided to include the fund in the list. The Wealth 150 reflects our favourite funds in each sector, and this is one of our favourite funds, so we have decided it should be included. We continue to believe investors in both the Invesco Perpetual Income and the High Income Funds will be well served.
