BoE confirms will keep 2032 gilt in Monday buyback
LONDON, July 6 (Reuters) - The Bank of England confirmed on Monday that it would retain the 4.25 percent 2032 gilt in the basket of securities it would accept in Monday's 3.5 billion pound buyback, despite an upcoming sale of the security.
The Debt Management Office said on Friday it would sell some of the gilt in the week starting July 13, and gilts sold within a week of a reverse auction are not eligible for inclusion in the operation.
'The Bank has confirmed with the DMO that the mini-tender ofr the UKT 4.25 percent 2032 scheduled for the week beginning 13 July 2009 will not be held on Monday, 13 July. UKT 4.25 percent 2032 therefore remains eligible for purchase in today's operation,' the BoE said.
