shrs rise after results, sales

Shares of drug store companies rose in premarket trading on Tuesday after
CVS Caremark Corp reported adjusted second-quarter earnings that beat
expectations and raised its full-year outlook.

Walgreens Co also reported an increase of 7.3 percent in July
sales.
CVS gained 3.7 percent to $35.26 before the bell, while Walgreens was up
0.5 percent to $31.25, and Rite Aid Corp (NYSE: RAD - news) edged 0.6 percent higher to
$1.71.
