PREVIEW-Danish inflation seen easing, C/A surplus widening
COPENHAGEN, July 3 (Reuters) - Danish inflation was seen
falling in June and the surplus on the current account was
estimated to have widened in May, a Reuters survey of economists
showed on Friday.
Denmark's consumer price index calculated according to the
EU-harmonised method (HICP) was seen slowing to a rise of 0.9
percent year-on-year in June from 1.1 percent in May, according
to the median estimate of six economists.
The rise in consumer prices, measured by the national
methond (CPI (NYSE: CPY - news) ), was seen easing to 1.1 percent in June from 1.3
percent in May, estimates from eight economists showed.
The current account surplus was seen growing to 4.0 billion
Danish crowns ($753.1 million) in May from April's surplus of
2.9 billion crowns, according to the median forecast by seven
economists.
Five of analysts foresaw a trade balance surplus of 3.0
billion crowns in May, down slightly from the previous month.
The national statistics office will release the current
account and trade balance figures on Thursday, July 9, and the
inflation figures on July 10 -- both indicators at 0730 GMT.
