Philips "hold," target price raised

By Deutsche Bank

LONDON, July 3 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Deutsche Bank (Xetra: 514000 - news) maintain their "hold" rating on Philips (Amsterdam:
href="http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=PHI.AS">PHI.AS - news) (ticker: PHI1). The target price has been raised from E12 to E14.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company is expected to report a 17% organic decline in its 2Q09 revenues and net losses of E110 million. The analysts expect Philips Consumer and Lighting businesses to bottom out in 2H, although some uncertainty is likely to remain in its healthcare business. A slow recovery in the consumer segment and continued restructuring by the company are likely to restrict its stock valuation in the near future, the analysts add.
