LONDON (Reuters (LSE: TRIL.L - news) ) - British Airways (LSE: BAY.L - news) <BAY.L> said on Thursday its traffic fell by 3.7 percent in June, as both premium and economy weakened compared to last year.
The company said in a statement the difficult consumer environment had led to reduced traffic, while high fuel costs had caused the airline to hike fares. BA's load factor -- a measure of how well it fills planes -- fell 3.8 percent to 76.7 percent.
