CORRECTED-Italian Stocks - Factors to watch on April 3
MILAN, April 3 (Reuters) - The following factors could
affect Italian markets on Friday.

* TELECOM ITALIA
The future sale of the telecommunications operator's
HanseNet unit could fetch 1.1 billion euros to 1.2 billion
euros, several newspapers said; Finanza & Mercati reported
private equity firms could be among the bidders.
UNICREDIT
The bank's foundation shareholders meet on Friday to discuss
the presentation of a single slate of candidates for a new board
of directors, a source close to the matter told Reuters.
* FIAT (Milan: F.MI - news)
Credit Suisse upgrades the European auto sector to
'overweight' from 'market weight'.
BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA
The Siena-based bank said it would book a capital gain of
200 million euros from an asset management deal with Clessidra.
ENI (Milan: ENI.MI - news) , GAZPROM
The chief executives of Italian oil and gas major Eni and
Russia's Gazprom discussed joint projects on Thursday, Eni said,
but it did not mention a looming deadline for a $4 billion deal.
SAIPEM
The oilfield services group expects Saudi Aramco, the Saudi
state oil company, to agree this month to an amended contract
under which Saipem will help develop the Moneefa field, Saipem's
Chief Executive Pietro Franco Tali said on Thursday.
Tali also said that contract margins will not fall.
EDISON (Milan: EDN.MI - news) , A2A
The city of Brescia, a leading A2A shareholder, opposes a
merger with power utility Edison, Finanza & Mercati said; Edison
is controlled by A2A and France's EDF.
* A Lazard plan bank calls for A2A to merge its gas and power
generation activities into Edison, Corriere della Sera said; the
cities of Milan and Brescia each would have 12.5 percent,
trailed by an bank investor -- possibly Intesa Sanpaolo
-- and EDF would have about 25 percent.
BANCA POPOLARE DI MILANO
Employee shareholders at the cooperative bank are weighing
putting forward executive Mario Resca or Vice Chairman Mario
Artali as candidates to become chairman, as Beniamino Anselmi
has lost support, Il Sole 24 Ore said.
Finanza & Mercati said Impregilo Chairman Massimo
Ponzellini was among other potential candidates.
SMALL AND MID CAPS
IT HOLDING
Its IT Holding Finance SA unit, the issuer of a senior bond
due in 2012, has been admitted to special administration, the
company said in a statement on Thursday.
SAFILO (Milan: SFL.MI - news)
VSP Vision Care, the parent company of Melville, New
York-based Marchon, is not interested in buying Safilo, a VSP
spokesman said, denying a report in Italian weekly Economy; the
magazine said another possible interested buyer could be Italy's
De Rigo, which declined to comment.
MAIRE TECNIMONT, TATNEFT
The Italian engineering company said a unit of Russia's
Tatneft had scrapped a 600 million euro order to expand a
refinery in the Tatarstan region. But Maire Tecnimont reaffirmed
its 2009 targets as the cancellation will not impact
significantly revenues this year.
* GEMINA
Singapore's Changi Airport could hire Nomura shortly to
negotiate a stake in Gemina, the holding company that controls
Rome's airport operator, several newspapers said.
