INTERVIEW-Fresnillo's silver output not hurt by U.S. crisis
MEXICO CITY, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Mexico's largest silver miner Fresnillo Ltd said on Wednesday its strong cash position and low debt would allow it to move forward with mine expansion projects to double silver output by 2017 despite turmoil
in U.S. financial markets.
Chief Executive Officer Jaime Lomelin told Reuters in an interview that the company was on track to produce around 35 million ounces of silver and between 280,000 and 300,000 ounces of gold in 2009, the same levels as in 2008.
