Arch Chemicals upgraded to "strong buy"

NEW YORK, August 1 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Wedbush Morgan upgrade Arch Chemicals Inc (NYSE: ARJ - news) (ticker: ARJ) from "buy" to "strong
buy," while raising their estimates for the company. The 12-month target price has been raised from $42 to $46.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company has raised its long-term operating margin guidance for the HTH Water Product segment to 15%-17%. Arch Chemicals has raised its continuing operating EPS guidance for the full year from $1.90-$2.00 to $2.30-$2.40 to reflect a pretax benefit of $15 million, resulting from the finalization of an anti-dumping investigation by the Department of Commerce. The EPS estimates for 2007 and 2008 have been raised from $2.00 to $2.34 and from $2.24 to $2.51, respectively.
