Indonesia June inflation eases to 3.65 pct y/y

JAKARTA, July 1 (Reuters) - June consumer price index from Indonesia's Statistics Bureau. KEY DATA: CPI CPI (y/y pct change) (m/m pct change) June : 3.65 June : 0.11 May : 6.04 May : 0.04 April : 7.31 April : -0.31 March : 7.92 March : 0.22 Feb : 8.60 Feb : 0.21 Jan : 9.17 Jan : -0.07 Dec : 11.06 Dec : -0.04 Nov : 11.68 Nov : 0.12 Oct : 11.77 Oct : 0.45 Sept : 12.14 Sept : 0.97 Aug : 11.85 Aug : 0.51 CONTEXT: * Analysts in Reuters poll had forecast annual inflation would fall to 3.8 percent in June from 6.04 percent in May. * Analysts say that the continued fall in inflation rates will give the central bank room to cut rates further even though it has already cut them by a combined 2.5 percentage points to 7.0 percent since December. * Bank Indonesia Deputy Governor Hartadi Sarwono said on Monday there was room to cut rates again. * The central bank has forecast growth in Southeast Asia's biggest economy will slow sharply this year to 3-4 percent from 6.1 percent last year as it feels the effects of the global economic slowdown. * High fuel prices in 2008 means annual price comparisons with 2009 are showing big declines in the consumer price index.
