CONTEXT:
* Analysts in Reuters poll had forecast annual inflation
would fall to 3.8 percent in June from 6.04 percent in May.
* Analysts say that the continued fall in inflation rates
will give the central bank room to cut rates further even though
it has already cut them by a combined 2.5 percentage points to
7.0 percent since December.
* Bank Indonesia Deputy Governor Hartadi Sarwono said on
Monday there was room to cut rates again.
* The central bank has forecast growth in Southeast Asia's
biggest economy will slow sharply this year to 3-4 percent from
6.1 percent last year as it feels the effects of the global
economic slowdown.
* High fuel prices in 2008 means annual price comparisons
with 2009 are showing big declines in the consumer price index.
