Arsenal MD Keith Edelman resigns
LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Arsenal Holdings Plc, the Plus Markets (LSE: PMK.L - news) listed owner of Arsenal Football Club, said managing
director Keith Edelman has resigned.
In a statement Arsenal said that after eight years at the club Edelman wanted 'a fresh challenge'.
Edelman, who oversaw Arsenal's 2006 move from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium, will be retained by the club for 12 months to ensure a smooth transition.
'Now that we have completed our second season at Emirates, I believe it is the right time to seek pastures new and embark upon fresh challenges,' he said.
Arsenal's board has initiated the search for a new MD. In the interim Ken Friar, a director and former MD, will take on the role of acting managing director.
